We have issued some updates for Sabayon Linux 4 as users requested.
Many of you requested an updated release containing some small improvements and fixes. Here it is!

Microsoft should learn a lesson here......Quick and snappy updates.....and to open up to open source to accommendate such brilliant revisions from the community.....Thanks...Sabayon Team.........

damn! already downloaded sabayon 4.0 iso ... so ... time to see if can upgrade my installed sistem to v4.0r1

Installed Sabayon 4r1.
Acer Aspire AMD 64 3800+ ( installed 32bit SL )
1Gb RAM
512MB nvidia GeForce 6150SE nForce 430 ( integrated )
All desktop were extreamly sluggish. I did an equo install nvidia-drivers as I notices the driver I was using was in beta.
Installed but when I rebooted, Sabayon started up with a black screen. No console, no login at all, just a black screen.
I rebooted again and tried the safe mode kernel... Same problem
I rebooted again and tried Sabayon Linux (genkerel 2.6.28-Sabayon) err something like that.. 3rd in the list.. The others were 2.6.27..
Anyway it boots fine, and is quite snappy, even with Compiz and AWN running.
However when I reboot it defaults back to the other kernels, and I get the black screen again.
I am currenly, as I type this, performing an equo world.
In case this does not fix things, how do I make the genkernel 2.6.28 my default.. or better yet, how do fix the boot to black screen problem?

I met this OS three days ago.
dat waas on thursday and i got the copy on friday den on Saturdaaay night sunday night I took off my Vista genuin edition on my VGN-FW11M Vaio. The reason being because Sabayon is fabulous. I'm not familiar with it yet but trust me u'll love it

As long it is necessary to wait for kde 4.2? it would be nice if it will be updates in v4 but not next release i see.

I have been using sabayon for years noe guys. Microsoft always thougt they had the monopoly. Well Sabayon will give them a good go.
This is the best debian distro that I have ever come accross.

I've been running it for 3 days now, on a dell inspiron 1520 with 256 nvidia card. It was great until I updated. Took all my drivers and gone, put the disk in to repair and see what happens. Let u know
